This Privacy Policy explains what information Clocked It! collects, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it. We have written this to be as clear and honest as possible — no unnecessary legal padding.

Who We Are

Clocked It! is a mobile puzzle game developed as an independent project. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, please contact us at info@clocked-it.app.

What Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. No account, no name, no email address is required to play Clocked It!. The information we do collect is strictly limited to what is necessary to make the game function and to understand how it is being used at an aggregate level.

Anonymous Device ID

When you first open the app, a random identifier is generated and stored securely on your device. This ID is used solely to associate your scores with the leaderboard. It cannot be used to identify you as an individual — it is a random string with no link to your name, Apple ID, Google account, or any other identity.

You can request deletion of any scores associated with your device ID by contacting us at info@clocked-it.app. We will remove the records within 30 days.

Analytics — Google Firebase

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played — which topics are popular, how often the daily challenge is completed, and similar aggregate patterns. Firebase collects data such as app interaction events, session length, and device type. All data is anonymised and used only in aggregate. Firebase is operated by Google LLC; you can read their privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Firebase Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default and then automatically deleted.

Crash Reporting — Sentry

We use Sentry to capture information about app crashes and errors. When a crash occurs, Sentry records technical information such as the device model, operating system version, and the sequence of events leading to the crash. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports. Sentry is operated by Functional Software, Inc.; their privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

Crash reports are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted.

In-App Purchases

Clocked It! offers optional in-app purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple and Google. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase receipts are validated directly with Apple and Google servers to confirm entitlements — a record of which packs you have purchased is stored locally on your device only.

Children's Privacy

Clocked It! is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law — including the right to access, correct, or delete data held about you. Because we hold only an anonymous device ID (not linked to your identity), most conventional rights are not applicable in practice. However, we are committed to honouring any reasonable request. Please contact us at info@clocked-it.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Do We Sell Your Data?

No. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data to third parties. We have no advertising partners. The only third parties who receive any data are the analytics and crash reporting services listed above, used solely for operating and improving the app.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
